نشرت المغنية الأمريكية، جنيفر جراوت، فيديو لها عبر حسابها الشخصي على موقع إنستغرام، تداوله نشطاء مواقع التواصل الإجتماعية، على نطاق واسع.

وظهرت جنيفر جراوت، وهي تقرأ القرآن وترتل “آية الكرسي” بصوت عذب، أرفقته بتدوينة جاء فيها: “عندما أصبحت مهتمة بالموسيقى العربية لأول مرة، أخبرني أستاذي أن أستمع إلى القرآن كتمرين من أجل الانغماس في جميع الفروق الدقيقة في الغناء العربي، والكثير من مطربي الطرب العظماء لهم جذور في تلاوة القرآن”.

وأعلنت جنيفر جراوت، إسلامها سنة 2014، بعد زواجها من شاب مغربي، رزقت منه بطفلتها الأولى سنة 2015، ولقيت شهرة كبيرة قبل ذالك بعد مشاركتها في برنامج “اراب عوت تالنت”.

When I first became interested in Arabic music, my teacher told me to start listening to Quran as an exercise in order to begin getting attuned to all the nuances of Arabic singing; the two have many things in common like their melodious qualities, ornamentations, vocal technique, maqam modulations, and language of course. Many of the great Tarab singers had their roots in Quran recitation! Today in the spirit of jumu3a I’m sharing a recitation of Ayat-u-l kursi as per the style of the great Mohammed Siddiq Al Menshawi.
